“Wake up early and workout! These are words I never thought I would use until I started going to bootcamp.  I always had good intentions of getting up early and going to the gym, but then I didn’t know what machine to use and I never really felt like I got a good workout.  My favorite part about boot camp is all I have to do is get there and be ready to sweat.  It is amazing to not have to think about: is it cardio day? or leg day?.  Heath does that for me!  Once you make the commitment to go to boot camp every morning and it becomes a routine you’ll be hooked! I mean seriously, what else do you have to do at 5:15am?”

Jenn M.

“I have always been a morning workout person. If I wait until the evening I will find every excuse to avoid workout out.  After a long day, I have very little motivation. I have found that if I get up and workout I get home and feel completely awake and I already have a goal accomplished for the day. I like boot camp because I like the different exercises each day during the week.  Heath keep it interesting and encourages us to “get uncomfortable” to see improvements.  We also have a variety of woman working out each morning who all have one thing in common- rolling out of bed for a 5:15am workout!0″

“Whether I work out at home or Meridian Boot Camp, working out first thing in the morning energizes me and leaves me with a feeling of accomplishment.  It helps me to focus on everything else the day brings; family, friends, work, etc.  Morning workouts truly improve my mood and sets the tone for the rest of the day.  For me there are no distractions first thing in the morning.  No distractions means “no excuse”.   I am less likely to work out in the afternoon or evening as I am definitely less motivated and tired from a long day at work.”

Myrna F.

The great thing about working out in the morning is that I don’t have anything else going on that
time of day. For me, if I don’t go in the morning, it is way too easy to create barriers to fitting it
in. Whether it’s the kids, work, or stuff that needs done at home; I’ve found that it easy to find an
excuse not to go if I don’t go first thing in the morning. Also, working out in the morning sets a
positive tone for my day, and, despite the early hour, I’ve found that I have more energy and feel less tired throughout my day. I love that the workouts are always different and always challenging. The workouts are never boring or routine and they challenge me in a motivating way and encourage me to keep pushing myself. Heath is able to meet everyone where they’re at and tailor the workouts to your
individual needs. One of the great things I’ve found is that it doesn’t matter where you are at on
your fitness journey; Heath is able to provide an environment and experience that is motivational, personalized, encouraging, and growth-oriented.”

“Meridian Adventure Bootcamp offers ideal 5:15AM workouts before the family is awake and work obligations start! Dedicating one hour to fitness every weekday has resulted in a healthier lifestyle and more energy throughout the workday!  Heath is an outstanding trainer.  He invests the time to understand and support your individual fitness goals.  Every bootcamp offers a challenging combination of cardio, conditioning, and full body training!”

“When I first started working out with Heath I was recovering from an injury. Heath really helped me in terms of strength training and flexibility to recover faster and stay injury free.”

Lori A.

“A couple of things that come to mind when I think about Heath and his workouts. First, he is very focused on nutrition. He recognizes that nutrition and a good workout go hand in hand. I appreciate his reminder at the end of our workouts ~ “eat healthy”. Secondly, Heath pushes to get the best of out you that he can. That includes increasing the pounds of weights you’re using, to push yourself in running and strive for one more pushup. For the past year I have become stronger and have become to feel more lean. I give credit to Boot Camp for giving me the endurance to get through my first marathon at 58.”

Shar F.

“Attendance at Meridian Adventure Boot Camp along with the education and positive encouragement that Heath provides each morning has given me the confidence to push myself to be stronger and has set the foundation to a happy, healthier lifestyle.  Each workout is unique and challenging.”

“While exercise and fitness have always been an important part of my life, after having two beautiful boys in a span of three years I found myself in a place where I wasn’t happy with my body and needed professional support to guide me in a fitness and nutrition routine to slim down and tone up. Heath at Meridian Boot Camp has been an amazing resource and has stood with me side-by-side in achieving my goals. Every morning, the workouts are challenging and focus on both cardio and strength. Heath encourages me to push myself and keep working harder to achieve results, and I am now confident and in the best shape of my life thanks to his guidance. I’ve lost pounds, body fat and inches – but most importantly for any new mom, I’m back in all my regular clothes with room to spare! 5:30 AM may seem early – but make the commitment to do something for yourself for an hour each day at a time when you are least likely to have other distractions (minus sleep)…this is a wonderful program that anyone should be able to make a part of their regular routine.”

“I trained with Heath for almost two years while I competed in collegiate athletics in Arizona. I was introduced to a variety of strategic workouts that were designed to improve our flexibility, stamina, strength and power. Heath always went above and beyond to help push his athletes to achieve the next level of ability. He was an encourager, a motivator, and an educator. He would guide us through focused stretches that would be sport and position specific, he would guide us through movements and workouts that would also be as specific. Heath would provide dietary and nutritional guidance upon request and was always willing to put in the extra mile when his athletes needed that push. Heath has ran a variety of solid training programs and continues to grow his practices to improve the lives of his clientele based on their individual needs and goals.”

“In order to stay fit, I wanted an exercise program that would be fun, challenging, and offer long-term benefits in place of the repetitive treadmill and elliptical work-outs at home. For the last year, I have had the privilege of working with Heath Van Patten as my bootcamp trainer. Five days a week, I benefit from Heath’s work-outs! Every weekday morning at 5:30am he is there ready to inspire, challenge, and educate bootcampers. Not only does Heath provide challenging work-outs, he provides insight on nutrition and the effects of exercise intensity. Heath recognizes the strengths in his clients and consistently encourages his clients to be better. If you are looking for a trainer that will help you meet your personal fitness goals, I highly recommend Heath!”

“Anyone who’s ever had GOALS in life knows that there is one key ingredient to obtaining them: A really good coach. A coach who understands that their ultimate goal is to help you become the best version of yourself and get the most out of both your physical and mental capacity. I feel so fortunate to have found that early in my career as a professional golfer when I started working with Heath Van Patten. He addressed all of my specific needs for a sport that is adapting to the point where it’s necessary to be physically fit. He always pushed the idea of not just “working harder”, but also “working SMARTER”. I absolutely got the most out of every session with him because we were a team. My goals became our goals and my success was our success. As I continue my career in golf “my success” will always be “our success” Thank you for pushing me to reach my goals!”

“Tough workout, but oh so good! There’s never a dull morning at Adventure Boot Camp. I tried a different camp and it was awful. At ABC I’m seeing improvements all the time. I love it!

I think the secret is out…YOU’RE THE BEST!”

“I went to weigh in for the biggest loser competition and have lost 9 and a half pounds in a month. I feel good that I am going in the right direction now. Thank-you for all the support you have given me. I really appreciate it. I also want to thank-you for making boot camp such a phenomenal experience. I never thought I would be addicted to exercise, but I have to admit I am. It wouldn’t have been the same with another trainer either. You create a non threatening environment in which all of us have a lot of fun while getting fit. A year later, I still love getting up at 4:30 because I know every day will be a fun and different workout with good friends and an excellent trainer.”

“Barbara’s Boot Camp Success!Adventure Boot Camp more than lives up to its name…it is an adventure and it is Boot Camp. I was a little unsure about changing from personal training to a group setting. I was very happy with the progress I had made and the weight I had lost, but it only took a couple of camps to convince me to become a Platinum member. I am making great friends, having a blast and I’m never bored. Who would have ever believed that I could run a mile, much less run it in under ten minutes and actually do 60 pushups, chronologically gifted as I am. Next to quitting smoking, this is the best thing I have ever done for myself.

Thanks, Jesse, for making this possible. Workouts are always fresh and never boring. You’re the best.”

Barbara A; VIBC Club

“Camp is going great. I love it. It is the toughest thing I have ever done and I love it. I feel great …..after I wake up…… and even after the work out. This is exactly what I was looking for. I have never heard so many women moan and groan in my life. I chuckle every time I think of it. The gals are so much fun to be around and the hour just seems to fly by.

Thank you for all your encouragement and support!”

Sandy G.

“I feel so great as I start the day and I can really tell a difference in my mood and energy level since I’ve started. I was worried the first day of this thing that it would be a bunch of 20 year old ex-track stars but it isn’t like that at all–although there are a couple of suspicious looking runners! There are literally all ages and shapes in this—and you get out of it what you put in it; you’re only competing with yourself.”

Jerri H

“I believe this is the best thing I’ve done for myself!”

“Thank you for the awesome training and for mentoring us all in Camp. From the bottom of my heart deepest thanks. You are awesome! Million thanks for the jumpstart and great mixup of workout routines, I enjoyed the challenge and look forward to the next camp!”

Lorna D

“I love Boot Camp! Can’t imagine not being there in the mornings. You do a fantastic job at motivating us and I appreciate all you do. Since Boot Camp I have learned to love getting up and getting the exercise done for the day. It’s addictive! So weird for me to be looking forward to the alarm going off at 4:30 and heading out in the dark to work out. And you are right, the body clock seems to just start working that way. Most mornings I am awake and up before the alarm goes off. And I do love the outdoors for exercise, breathing that fresh air. It’s the best thing I’ve ever experienced for good exercise discipline. So, thanks for Boot Camp and the encouragement to good health.”

Linda W; VIBC Club

“I am loving this! I am so inspired by all the women in this Camp. I enjoy the differen activities each day. It’s nice that it’s never routine and boring. I have noticed a big difference in strength…and can feel a difference in my abilit to run, swim, and bike better. I really enjoy driving to class each day and am sad when I have to miss…especially when I get the emails from Jesse. It has exceeded my expectations. I have never enjoyed group fitness classes. I absolutely detest them. They have always felt impersonal. This camp is different! I am a hard person to please and don’t commit to anything for long periods of time unless it is exceptional and I feel I am benefitting and getting my money’s worth. I am now a Platinum Member of Boot Camp—that should say enough.

I really appreciate you Jesse! You’ve created a fun, friendly, safe environment for all of us and that speaks volumes about you as an instructor. As a teacher educator, I really value that in a person. It takes talent to keep that many women engaged and coming back. Thanks for planning and making each class different and fun.”

Fernanda B; VIBC Club

“Thanks, Jesse! The camp has been great for me–it’s the first time in my whole life that I have been able to commit to exercise. I am grateful for you and your knowledge and caring about all of us!”

Illaria M

“I am feeling so wonderful this morning. Since I had run the mile at 10:38 4 weeks ago, my goal was to finish in under 10 minutes today. Wow, I surprised myself by making it in 8:54…..and I wasn’t dying! I have to say that my stated goal of “improved endurance” has definitely been met. This boot camp experience has been very good for me. After working out in the gym for 3 years, I was ready for a change. Working outdoors was wonderful. I feel rejuvenated, re-energized and reduced. Jogging feels quite comfortable. I can feel and see the results of all our ab work. The scale is even showing a change.”

Jude J

“I appreciate all you do…..you are so well organized, you are professional, well educated in the industry, and you truly care about helping us achieve the best that we can do! You make it so fun and I especially love the variety of the routines. You always have a smile rain or shine (even in the dark!). Physically as well as mentally I feel soooooo much better about myself and for that I thank you too. I look forward to the workout and never feel like it’s going to be a drag!”

Renee D; VIBC Club

“Cholesterol is down 60 points thanks to your class. Thanks!”
